The second piece in this series of Cloudy Ridge Productions’ Languages of Landscape series explores how ancient cultures may have looked at the concept of time relative with our narrow and linear concept of time based on the Gregorian calendar.
Collaborating with Anna Sofaer, president of The Solstice Project, (www.solsticeproject.org), Cloudy Ridge productions teamed up with the Project last November to produce this short film about the Greater Chaco Landscape. Exploring how human-made ancient mega-features such as ancient roads and mounds along with large natural features such as twin buttes and alcoves that spread from New Mexico to Southeastern Utah, played vital rolls in oral histories of the ancients that are still told and lived by modern Indigenous peoples today .
