Cybersecurity and drone operations certification classes begin this month. St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is featuring a Cortes based artist, and third Thursday says goodbye for 2023. You're watching "The Local News Roundup", brought to you by Fast Signs and the Lor Foundation. I'm Wendy Graham Settle. Two professional certification classes are being offered free of charge through Pueblo Community College Southwest. The classes begin this month focused on either cybersecurity or drone pilot certification. The cybersecurity certification, Security Plus incorporates best practices in hands-on troubleshooting to prepare the student to be able to monitor, assess, and respond to various cybersecurity risks and incidents. The Commercial Drone Pilots classes are designed with both hands-on flying practice and classroom hours to prepare students For the FAA Commercial Drone Pilots license test. In-person classes will be held in Durango. Seating is limited, so registration is on a first come first serve basis. To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org. The tuition free classes are made possible through a grant from La Plata County and Colorado Economic Development Alliance.
