The Cortez Police Department is hosting its 2024 Police Citizens Academy. This free, six-week course will begin in March and include both classroom-style and hands-on training. Belle and the Bear invites you to celebrate Galentine’s Day on Saturday, February 10 at Fenceline Cider with a macrame workshop. The Cortez Public Library is also throwing a Galentine’s Day party on Tuesday, February 13 with snacks and a showing of the Barbie movie. recently conducted a study to discover America’s favorite foods for watching football. The survey ranked favorite snacks and favorite dips for each state with Colorado’s being chili and salsa, respectively. By Rachel Hughes. Can you guess Colorado's favorite Super Bowl snacks and dips? Results from a nationwide survey might help you make your Game Day grocery list. You're watching the "Local News Roundup," brought to you by TruWest Auto and Blondies Trophy Room. I'm Connor Shreve. The Cortez Police Department is hosting its 2024 Police Citizens Academy. It's free six-week course, which will begin on March 5th and run Tuesday evenings through April 9th at the Cortez Police Department. Each night will include one hour of hands-on training and reality-based decision-making scenarios, as well as an hour of classroom-style learning for information on police policy, arrest control, and more. In order to give each person time to participate in the scenarios, the Academy is limited to 12 residents. Galentine's Day is coming up on Tuesday, February 13th. The day was inspired by an episode of NBC's "Parks and Rec," where Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler, describes the holiday as a day for ladies to celebrate ladies. Here are two events for women to celebrate with friends this February. Belle and the Bear is doing a Galentine's Macrame Workshop at Fenceline Cider on Saturday, February 10th. You can register for that event on Belle and the Bear's website. The price includes appetizers, a drink, and macrame materials. And on Tuesday the 13th, the public library will be showing the "Barbie" movie. Loop's Coffee House and Bistro will be supplying coffee, cider, and snacks beginning at 5:00, movie at 5:30. And if you're hosting or attending a Super Bowl party this Sunday, you may want to consider adding these items to your grocery list. recently conducted a survey to discover America's favorite foods for watching the big game. The survey ranked favorite snacks and favorite dips for each state. Coming in at number three on Colorado's list is chips and dip, beat out only by subs and sandwiches and Colorado's favorite chili. In the dips category, Colorado voters favorite seven-layer dip and hummus, with their top vote going to classic salsa.
